Very Low Profile Range: the ultimate in minimal-gap concealed fastening
The Very Low Profile Range (VL series) represents miniaturisation engineering taken to its limit. With just 2.5 mm of gap between panel and structure, these are the only mechanical clips on the market that allow ultra-thin panels, upholstered surfaces, or premium furniture to be demounted without leaving any visible trace. Manufactured in New Zealand, the VL clips uphold the same quality philosophy as the rest of the Fastmount family.
The range includes fire-rated versions (VL-M3FR and VL-F3FR) certified for superyacht interiors to IMO/MED standards, and an Extra Heavy Duty version (VL-M3X) rated at 25 kg per clip. It also features the recessed acoustic clip VL-PF3, which adds acoustic isolation to the fastening function. Distributed in Spain and Portugal by Riviera Trade.

Application guide
Very Low Profile is the choice when space is critical and aesthetics are the priority. Upholstered headboard panels, premium yacht furniture doors, column cladding, and any application where even 4 mm of gap is too much. With the Fire Rated versions, it is the approved solution for new-build superyacht interiors.
If you need more depth for cables or pipes behind the panel, step up to Low Profile (4 mm) or Standard (8 mm). For thick upholstered or fabric-wrapped panels, the Textile Range is purpose-designed for those materials.
Frequently asked questions
Fire Rated models are manufactured with a special polymer that complies with IMO FTP Code and the European MED (Marine Equipment Directive). They are mandatory in new-build commercial superyachts and recommended for large recreational vessels.
The VL-M3X is the maximum-load version: 25 kg per clip pair. Designed for heavy panels (thin stone, dense composite) where minimum gap is needed but load is significant. Uses the same drill and tools as the rest of the VL range.
The VL-PF3 is a recessed female that presses into a routed hole in the structure. Its foam body absorbs vibration and reduces acoustic transmission between panel and structure. It pairs with any standard VL male to create an acoustically isolated system.
