CT-17 Panel Removal Tool Painted Panel (Glass Sucker 40kg/88lb)
Low Profile Range: invisible fastening with just 4 mm gap
The Low Profile Range (LP series) was designed by Fastmount in New Zealand to solve a specific problem: thin panels or cabinet doors where the Standard system was too deep. With just 4 mm gap between panel and structure, Low Profile enables concealed clips in spaces where previously only Velcro or magnets were viable, but with the mechanical strength and repeatability that define Fastmount.
The system offers self-tapping and surface-mount variants with load capacities up to 15 kg in the Heavy Duty version (LP-SMX). The self-tapping female LP-F8 is available in a coarse-thread version (LP-DF8) for soft or porous materials. Distributed in Spain and Portugal by Riviera Trade, Low Profile has become the preferred solution for marine furniture, cabinet doors, and decorative mouldings.

Application guide
Choose Low Profile when the space behind the panel is limited but you need more holding power than Velcro or magnets. Particularly suited to cabinet doors on yachts and motorhomes, decorative mouldings, thin ceiling panels, and partition linings where the structure sits close to the finished surface.
If even 4 mm is too much, the Very Low Profile Range reduces the gap to 2.5 mm. For heavier panels with more depth available, the Standard Range offers more mounting variety.
Frequently asked questions
The typical gap is 4 mm when fully engaged. Sufficient to conceal the mechanism but too narrow for cable routing; services should run via other paths.
Not on the same panel (different gaps prevent flush seating), but yes across different zones: Low Profile for cabinet doors and Standard for wall panels, for example.
Both are self-tapping females. LP-DF8 has a coarser thread for soft or porous materials (rigid foams, chipboard). Standard LP-F8 works well in MDF, marine plywood, and hardwoods.
